The People Side of Autonomous Coding

Roles, Operations, and Change Management After Go-Live

About the Fireside Chat

Health systems have heard the case for autonomous coding. What they hear far less about is what happens after go-live: the team conversations, the workflow adjustments, and the slow build toward a new normal.

In this fireside chat, HIM and coding leaders from Intermountain Health and OSU Physicians share what that transition actually looked like from the inside. They cover how roles evolved, what steady-state operations feel like at scale, and how they navigated the change management challenges that surfaced before, during, and after go-live.
